Gnak is a boutique consulting firm that specialises in helping French-speaking companies with strategic projects both internal and external. Its founder wanted to create an iconic, bold and vibrant brand identity that blends exciting and fun with professional and confident. This placed importance on the brand’s colours, logo shape and typography.
‘Gnak’ is a French onomatopoeia meaning ‘biting’ (gnaquer) as well as ‘having the motivation’ (avoir le gnaque), often seen in comic books. Since much of Gnak’s consultancy work is centred around narrative-based methodologies, having a direct link to comic books creates a strong brand story. Gnak’s work also focuses on illustrative, design-based practices, making comic books a useful signifying theme.
